However, to make sure the flowers will survive for a week or two, you will have to take care for them on daily basis. Starting from the moment you receive them, take the flowers out of the packaging into a well ventilated and cool, shady place. Sometime the flowers wilt early. Place the flowers in a vase with warm water with some sugar and carefully add a few drops of dilute (household) hydrogen peroxide (beware while handling hydrogen peroxide. Mishandling can cause blindness or permanent injury.) Replace the water on daily basis (essential). Also, make sure that lower leaves (close to the stem's tip) are removed. This is to prevent the leaves from being soaked in the vase water.
